Departure

You knew it but we’ve never really confirmed it ;)

Well, you probably knew this already but Departure has split up quite a while ago.

The reason I’m posting this here is because we’ll probably take the website offline soon and anybody still reading this will know why. If you’re interested you can look up Mathieu with his band Grindbashers and Olivier with his new band Grindpad. Wow, two grinds in there, what a coincidence

DVD Released!!!

The wait is finally over. As of now the Departure live DVD “XII IV” is finally released through Herrie records!!!
It took us a while but we are very proud to announce to all of you that the DVD can finally be ordered through this website or by sending us an e-mail.

New pictures and DVD update

Well, we’re back very soon this time with some new pictures of Departure playing live at the HerrieFest 2010 festival with new drummer Maarten.

The new DVD is drawing ever closer to a release. We have seen the final product at it looks and sounds amazing. You are now able to pre-order it through the merch section.

Dvd update

Just a quick update on the upcoming dvd. Production of the video and audio material is done and if all goes as expected we’ll be ready to unleash is pretty soon.

We’re also hard at work on new material and getting ready to rock some stages so hopefuly we’ll see you soon!

Drummer Wanted!!! / upcomming DVD news

Well, it´s been terribly quiet here for the last few months but hopefully things will turn around soon.
Sadly after our last gig in april Clemens decided to quit Departure and this left us without a drummer. Due to his unique style and technical ability it proved very difficult to find a new drummer.
As of today we will be placing ads for drummers in various places and we hope to be announcing something soon.

On a brighter note, work is progressing nicely on the upcoming DVD that was shot during our last gig in april.
We will be offering this as a download when it´s finished.
As a preview you will find a few songs recorded that night in the media section. Enjoy!

Tankard support in Zwolle

We are proud to announce that Departure will be supporting beer metal legends Tankard at the Hedon venue in Zwolle. At the 12th of april sunday rest will be disturbed by Tankard, Departure and techno metal pioneers Next Waste Dimension.

If you’re ready for this mixture of Beer-Thrash, techno and hybrid metal you can’t  afford to miss this!
